Torx Wrench Set
M5x 20mm bolts
Zip Ties
Velcro Strips (optional)
Battery Balancer
Second Battery (sold separately)
Second Battery Mounting Plate
Step-by-Step Instructions
The Revv 1 Battery Balancer allows you to use two batteries simultaneously, effectively doubling your range (additional battery sold separately).
Note: This does not increase top speed.
It is not compatible with the center storage cage accessory (both mount to the same frame section).
Step 1: Remove Controller Cover
Remove the battery from the bike and try to turn the bike on using the power button to discharge stored power.
Unbolt the controller cover using torx wrench and remove all eight bolts.
Unplug the original battery plug (Yellow plug labeled XT60) from the controller.
Step 2: Detach the Second Battery Plate
Unlock the second battery and place it upside down on a soft surface.
Slide mounting plate off while holding the battery in place.
Step 3: Mount the Second Battery Plate
Loosely attach the plate to the controller cover using four M5x20mm bolts (available at your local hardware store or online).
Ensure the wire faces toward the back.
Do not fully tighten the bolts yet.
Step 4: Route the Second Battery Cable
Route the second battery cable out the back of the frame and into the lower section of the frame (in front of the bottom bracket)
Guide the cable into the battery box.
Step 5: Attach the Balancer
Unbox the Balancer
Plug in the balancer, one plug connects to the controller.
Two interchangeable plugs connect to the batteries (it does not matter which plug goes into which battery)
Do not force the connections together as they are designed to fit only in the correct orientation.
Step 6: Cable Management Tips
Pull extra wiring into the battery compartment and leave enough slack for the controller cover to rest on the floor.
Secure the balancer using zip ties. (Avoid pulling the wires too tight or bending them sharply. This may cause damage, which is not covered under warranty)
Optional: Use thin strips of soft velcro to prevent rattling (do not cover the face of the balancer, as it needs airflow for cooling)
Step 7: Reinstall Controller Cover
Carefully reinstall the controller cover, ensuring that no wires are pinched.
Secure it with all 8 bolts and tighten to 5-7Nm.
Step 8: Position the Second Battery Plate
Slide the battery plate back fully, ensuring the power wire is not pinched.
Tighten the 4 bolts securing the plate to 5-7Nm.
Secure the power cable with a zip tie.
Tuck any extra wire back into the battery compartment.
Step 9: General Functionality
Install both batteries, lock them in place, and remove the key.
Test that the batteries cannot slide off when locked (perform this check before each ride).
Batteries drain simultaneously, but must be charged separately.
You can ride with only one battery installed.
The system uses power from the higher-charged battery first, then balances usage between both.
Final Steps & Important Notes
Ensure all connections are tight and secure and no loose cables are present.
Zip Tie all internal wiring to prevent rattling.
Secure batteries and ensure batteries cannot slide off when locked.
