If you get a flat in your rear wheel or need to remove your rear wheel and/or belt, these steps will guide you.
Note: Do not lay your bike flat on the axle where the motor cable is exiting the frame. This can damage the cable and cause the motor to lose function which is not covered under warranty.
Rear Wheel Removal
- Please take some pictures, so you can reference them when re-installing the wheel. Torque spacers and other washers must be installed in the proper order and orientation.
- Carefully disconnect the motor cable at the chain stay. Make sure the part attached to the wheel is completely free, remove any zip ties carefully so it is no longer attached to the bike.
- Carefully loosen the nuts on either side of the rear wheel. (See pictures below)
- Be careful of the motor cable leaving the rear axle when doing this. You do not want to cause any damage or unnecessary wear and tear to this motor cable. Do not rest the wheel on this side with the wire.
- Loosen the nuts (or if necessary remove them) until you are able to slide the torque spacers on each side away from the wheel (this is a washer with a tab on it that fits into the drop outs).
- At this point, make sure the belt tensioners are loosened or removed, so they do not impede movement of the wheel forward.
- This will allow you to shift the wheel forward in the drop outs and remove the belt.
- Now you can carefully remove the wheel, when you set the wheel down or work on it, make sure there is no pressure on the motor cable, do not let the wheel rest on the side with the motor cable.
- Once your maintenance is complete, make sure the wheel is properly re-installed, centered, and that the belt tension is good.

Belt Removal
- The bolts in the frame where the right side chain stay and seat stay will need to be removed. Make sure the proper bit is used to avoid stripping the bolts.
- When re-installing bolts, do not force. If they do not start smoothly, they may not be aligned properly or something may be in the way. Forcing it will likely cause damage.
