Ride1Up Touring Package Installation Guide

Overview

Thank you for choosing the Ride1Up Touring Package. This guide will walk you through installing the Comfort Saddle, Suspension Seatpost, and Handlebar Mirrors. Please follow each step carefully to ensure proper fitment, comfort, and safety.




Required Tools

  • 4mm Allen wrench

  • 5mm Allen wrench


Included Components

Your Touring Package includes:

  • 1× Comfort Saddle with Standard Rails

  • 1× Suspension Seatpost

  • 2× Handlebar Sideview Mirrors


Before You Begin

  • Power OFF the bike and remove the battery.

  • Work on a stable surface.

  • Make small adjustments gradually to achieve proper fit and alignment.


SECTION 1 — Suspension Seatpost Installation

1. Remove the Original Seatpost

  1. Open the seatpost clamp quick-release lever or loosen the clamp bolt using a 4mm or 5mm Allen wrench. Depending on yout model.

  2. Slide the existing seatpost out of the frame.

  3. Clean the inside of the seat tube if needed.

2. Insert the Suspension Seatpost

  1. Ensure the minimum insertion line on the seatpost will be fully inside the frame when installed.

  2. Apply a light coat of grease. You should have received a small tube of grease with your bike.

  3. Insert the suspension seatpost into the frame.

  4. Tighten the clamp bolt or close the quick-release lever securely.

    • Recommended torque: 5–7 Nm


SECTION 2 — Comfort Saddle Installation

1. Position the Saddle Rails

  • Place the saddle rails into the top clamp cradle of the suspension seatpost.

  • Ensure the rails are seated evenly in the grooves of the clamp.

  • mountingYou may need to loosen the side bolt using a 5mm Allen. This will allow the side mounting plate to separate enough to allow the saddle rails to be inserted.



2. Center the Saddle

  • Adjust the saddle to be centered front-to-back on the clamp.

  • Set an initial neutral angle (top surface parallel to the ground).

3. Tighten the Clamp Bolts

  • Tighten the saddle clamp bolts evenly to secure the rails.

  • Recommended torque: 10–12 Nm

  • Re-check for alignment after tightening.

4. Final Comfort Adjustments

  • Adjust saddle tilt, fore/aft position, and height as needed for comfort.

  • Make small adjustments and test ride for best results.


SECTION 3 — Handlebar Mirror Installation

1. Identify Mounting Position

  • Mirrors can be mounted on:

    • The outer ends of the handlebars, or

    • The front/side flat bar section, you may have to move the display and/or brake lever/shifter to allow for room to mount the mirror clamp.

2. Install the Mirror Base

  • If your mirror uses a clamp:

    • Open the clamp and position it around the handlebars. Your mirror arrived with a plastic shim that can be used to protect the finish on your handlebars.

    • Tighten using the provided screw or a 4mm Allen wrench.



3. Adjust the Mirror Angle

  • Rotate the mirror head to achieve a clear rearward view.

  • Sit on the bike and make final adjustments.

  • Tighten all screws firmly without overtightening.


SECTION 4 — Final Safety Checks

1. Verify All Fasteners

  • Ensure saddle clamp bolts, seatpost clamp, and mirror hardware are fully tightened.

2. Suspension Seatpost Check

  • Compress the seatpost a few times to ensure smooth travel.

  • Confirm no excessive play or binding.

3. Mirror Visibility

  • Sit in your normal riding position and confirm clear visibility behind you.

  • Adjust as needed.
