Introduction to tools needed and weight capacity

  • The tools needed will be an Allen key, a tool to cut zip ties, and a flat-tip screwdriver to pry the cover off the back plate of the bike.
  • In the kit, you will receive three bolts and an extension for the taillight and zip ties.
  • 100 lbsThe rear rack is rated for 100lbs. The passenger kit is rated for 130 lbs when installed correctly.



INSTALLING THE REAR RACK OR PASSENGER KIT


1. Disconnect the rear light Higo electrical wiring quick-connect.


2. Remove the zip tie securing the rear light wiring to the frame, be careful not to cut the wire.



3. Remove the bracket by unscrewing the rear light bracket bolts installed underneath the saddle. During this step, keep the rear light connected to the bracket. Remember to keep the bracket hardware if you planning to remove the rack.



4. Notice the saddle tube cap behind the bracket. Slide or pry the saddle tube cap out of the saddle tube.

5. Slide the rear rack completely into the saddle tube with the flat side of the rack facing upwards. Please be sure to fully insert the rack when installing failure to do so will result in the rear rack being damaged.

 

 

6. With the Allen key, install the rear rack to the frame using the 3 bolts included, these will be installed into the 3 inserts along the underside of the saddle tube. It may take some adjustment to line up the inserts correctly.

7. Remove the rear light from the light bracket, keeping the two sets of nuts, bolts, and washers.

8. Install the rear light to the two rack mounting points using the two sets of nuts, bolts, and washers.

9. With the Higo extension wiring included with your rack accessory, connect the rear light plug to the quick-connect coming from the frame. Ensure the arrows on the quick-connects are lined up to avoid damaging the sensitive metal pins.


10. Finally, zip-tie any loose wiring to avoid catching or pulling while operating your Revv 1
