Parts in the kit

Getting started

We recommend working in an area with room to move around the bike and lay out the parts. Removing the battery will make the bike less likely to tip over as you install the rack. Start by opening everything up and making sure you have all the tools and parts you need before getting started. Take care not to lose the hardware.

Remove light, bracket, and rear frame plug

  • Cut the zip tie and unplug the light
  • Remove the light from the bracket using an 8mm wrench to take the nuts off, save the hardware
  • Unbolt bracket using a 3mm and 4mm Allen wrench
  • Once the light and bracket are removed you can pull the rear frame plug out

Slide in the utility rack

  • Slide the rack into the frame
  • Make sure that it is all the way in as shown below

  • You should be able to see through both holes in the frame

Install grab handle and bolts

  • Install the grab handle by sliding it down between the rack and the seat
  • Use the shorter of the two rack bolts to loosely hold the handle into place using the back hole

Install sides

  • Install each side section one at a time
  • Loosely install all of the bolts to start with
  • The M6x25mm bolt secures the rear as shown below
  • Keep the side panel supported as you move onto the next step and do not allow it to hang

  • Insert the front longer bolt through the front portion of the side panels and through the rack and out the other side
  • Repeat for the opposite panel. Secure the long bolt in place using the short bolt from the other side

Install rear brace

  • Install the rear brace as shown below
  • The brace has angled ends to better fit the rack sides
  • Secure using the M5x25mm bolts

Tighten all the bolts

  • Carefully go around and tighten all of the bolts to 3-5Nm
  • Be sure to go around tightening each bolt 2-3 times to ensure the rack is tight, some may come loose as you tighten others.

Install rear light and extension cable

  • Install the rear light onto the mount on the back of the rack and secure it with the two 8mm nuts and washers.

  • Plug the provided extension cable into the light and route along the frame as shown below

  • Plug the extension cable into the taillight wire

  • Secure using two zip ties as shown below

Important notes

  • Do not exceed 100lbs of total weight on the rack and panniers

  • Heavy loads will affect the handling of the bike and caution should be taken when riding

  • The rack is not to be used for stunt riding

  • Periodically check the bolts to make sure they are secure.

  • Ensure that straps or cargo cannot get into the rear wheel or interfere with the rear suspension
