If you are experiencing a complete loss of power to the motor of your Portola or Cafe Cruiser while using the pedal assist and/or throttle do not worry. There are settings in your display that can turn the PAS and/or throttle off and can easily be accidentally changed. This issue can oftentimes be quickly resolved by following the steps below to reset your display settings back to factory default.
How to perform a display reset
- Turn the bike on and ensure it is on the main screen.
- Hold the (+) and power (M) button at the same time until you see dEF - N.
- Use the (+) button to cycle to Y.
- Press and hold the power (M) button to reset the display.
