If you experience an issue with your Revv1 it is always a good idea to safely glance at the display to see if there is an error code. Error codes may only be shown on the display briefly and will be very helpful in the repair process so be sure to take note of any error code you may see. The chart below will give you a good starting point to understand, troubleshoot, and resolve the error codes on your display.
Revv1 Error Codes

4 | The throttle is not in neutral position (all the way forward) | The throttle is stuck in the open position or is faulty | Check the cable connection and verify throttle is in the neutral position |
| 5 | Throttle Malfunction | The throttle is not functioning | Check the cable connection and verify throttle is in the neutral position |
| 7 | Over-voltage protection | One of the sensors is seeing too high a voltage or is faulty | Check cadence sensor and throttle |
| 8 | Motor Hall cable malfunction | The motor cable may be damaged or loose | Check if the motor cable is damaged or loose, disconnect and reconnect |
| 9 | Motor Phase cable malfunction | The motor cable may be damaged or loose | Check if the motor cable is damaged or loose, disconnect and reconnect |
| 10 | Motor Temp Too High | This happens when the motor gets too hot | Power off the display, wait until the motor temperature cools down, and start to have power again |
| 11 | Motor Temp. Sensor malfunction | Failed motor temperature sensor | Motor replacement needed |
| 12 | Current sensor malfunction | Current sensor malfunction | Inspect controller cables |
| 13 | Battery Temp Too High | This happens when the battery gets too hot the battery management system will cut power from the battery to prevent damage | Inspect the battery and shut it off to let cool down, once cooled down continue riding |
| 14 | Controller Temp is too high | This happens when the internal controller gets too hot | Inspect internal controller connections and shut the bike off to let cool down, once cooled down continue riding |
| 15 | Controller Temp Sensor malfunction | The Controller Temp Sensor not working | Inspect connections at the controller, replace the controller |
| 21 | Speed Sensor malfunction | The Speed sensor in the motor is not working | Check the rear wheel connection |
| 23 | Headlight malfunction | The headlight is not functioning | Check connections at light |
| 24 | Headlight sensor malfunction | The headlight is not functioning | Check headlight connection |
| 25 | Brake Sensor malfunction | The brake sensor needs adjusting | Disconnect the electronic brake shut-off wires 1 at a time to determine if it is caused by 1 or both. Adjust the brake lever/sensor that is causing the motor to cut off. |
| 26 | Speed Sensor Signal malfunction | The speed sensor in the motor is disconnected or faulty | Check the motor wiring or replace motor |
| 30 | Communication Error | check display connection and connection at the internal controller | check display connection and connection at the internal controller |
| 39 | Controller fault | This occurs due to a internal fault in the controller | Replace motor controller |
