Yes, every ebike shipment requires a signature upon delivery

Note: while carriers are instructed to do so, we have seen instances where the driver will leave the package without obtaining a signature. Please be sure you are available at the delivery point on the scheduled delivery date to ensure the bike does not get misdelivered or stolen.

Delivery process for bikes arriving via FedEx (non-LTL)

Every bike not being delivered via LTL (Less Than Truckload) will be delivered via FedEx. If your shipment is enroute but no one will be home or the delivery requires special attention, we recommend signing up for FedEx Delivery Manager which includes:

  • Receiving Alerts
  • Tracking Shipments
  • Signing For Packages Remotely
  • Providing Delivery Instructions
  • FedEx Hold For Pickup
  • Redelivering Your Package
  • Requesting a vacation hold (up to 14 days)
  • Redirecting to a FedEx Hold Locationfor pickup at your convenience


Delivery process for bikes arriving via LTL (Less Than Truckload)

Bikes such as the Revv 1, CF Racer1, Prodigy Series, and more are shipped via LTL carriers. Ride1Up uses a freight broker to find the most efficient rate for our customers which currently includes CEVA Logistics and Alliance to fulfill your order to the final mile delivery. These carriers are not known to leave packages unattended and require a delivery appointment be made after your bike is on the road. If your bike is shipped via Alliance, they will call you to setup a delivery appointment. If you miss their call you can call them back at 


Steps for creating a delivery appointment with CEVA:

  1. Open your email containing your tracking number. It will start with "CEV". Head to https://app.freightclub.com/Tracking and enter your tracking number. 
  2. Once you click save after picking a delivery appointment you're finished. When your delivery date arrives please be home to sign for your bike. Some drivers call with a 30 minute heads up but they are not required to. 


Changing the shipping date

Orders process very quickly during the business week. If you need to place an order and have it held for a specific amount of time (up to 14 days) please contact us prior to placing the order. Our agents need to be prepared to jump in and hold your order once it's placed. After an order is in processing status we are no longer able to hold it, and it will be processed to ship very shortly after that.
