If you are experiencing electrical issues on your Revv1, here are some steps you can take to isolate the issue and troubleshoot.

Step 1: Switch the battery power off

Ensure the battery is switched off before and during all of the following steps.

Step 2: Access the motor controller

Access your motor controller. For more information, please visit: Revv1 Motor Controller Access.

Step 3: Disconnect components

Disconnect all components from the motor controller except for the battery and display.

  • Check if the bike turns on (ignore any error codes for now). If the bike does not power on, this indicates an issue with either the battery, display, or motor controller.

Step 4: Connect the motor

Connect the motor to the controller and test the throttle. If there is no response, this indicates an issue with your throttle unit.

Step 5: Connect the cadence sensor

Connect the cadence sensor and test Pedal Assist by spinning the pedals. If there is no power to the motor, this indicates an issue with the cadence sensor.

Step 6: Connect the brake sensors

Connect the brake sensors and test both Pedal Assist and throttle. If there is no power to the motor, this indicates the brake sensors need to be adjusted or replaced. For more information, see: Error 25: 700 Series, Cafe Cruiser, Turris, Portola, Rift & Revv1

Step 7: Connect the lights and horn

Connect the lights and horn. Test the bike for functionality. If there is no power to the motor, this indicates an issue with the lights or horn.
